All necklace and matching earring sets are one-of-a-kind Adolphina originals. Each set is made from a unique combination of fine gemstone beads, crystal beads and in some instances other natural materials such as wood, clay or stone. Unusual pendants have been matched with the beads that both compliment and at the same time accent the unique pattern of beads. Only sterling silver is used for all metalwork needed in Adolphina Art Studios.

All jewelry will be securely packaged in a tarnish-prevention zip loc bag to prevent the silver from tarnishing over time. A small tarnish-removing cloth will be sent with your jewelry.
Most jewelry can be dipped into a jar of “jewelry cleaner”. The exceptions to this are as follows:
Do not dip pearls, glossy shells or coral into jewelry cleaner. The cleaning solution will remove the sheen from these natural components. All Adolphina jewelry can be washed with hand soap and cold water. Dry carefully and polish your jewelry, rubbing all sides with a small towel.
If your jewelry contains shells or pearls adjacent to sterling silver components or wire, use the enclosed polishing cloth to remove any tarnish from the sterling silver that might appear over time. Then wash and dry the entire piece of jewelry thoroughly, polishing with a cloth as you dry the beads, etc.
How do I keep from breaking my jewelry that contains glass beads?
Most beads are very sturdy and thick. They will not easily break. Some larger glass components, such as large flat glass beads or pendants, could break if you set them down hard on a piece of furniture. Be gentle and the jewelry will last for decades and decades. As with other Adolphina jewelry, wash glass necklaces and earrings with hand soap and cold water. Polish with a dry cloth to really bring out the sparkle.
All jewelry is one of a kind. Upon request, we could try to duplicate a set that you purchased but that would depend on whether we have those particular beads and components in stock. Some beads and pendants are irreplaceable.
There are a few ways to flatten your print. Probably the best way is to lay it face down on a clean and dry flat surface and put weight on it, such as books or other heavy items. Leave it that way for a few days. Another solution is to place it face down on a clean, dry flat surface and put a thin cloth such as a pillowcase over it. Set your iron on dry heat (no spray) and iron it on the back side until it is flat. A third and perhaps easiest solution is to take it to a frame shop where you will have it framed. The shop will flatten it for you.
ADOLPHINA STUDIOS has researched interesting facts and beliefs about many stones used in our jewelry, including where some of these stones are most likely to be mined or discovered. We do not claim that any of these stones are meant to be used to treat medical conditions.
