Bronzite is less well known than many stones in our time although it has a long history and has even been found in meteorites. Who knows where it has been?! It is thought to promote clarity and mental well-being. Some also believe that it promotes harmony and peace in relationships.

Much like tiger’s eye, bronzite has inner lights but the difference is that bronzite contains specks of gold color where tiger’s eye has streaks of gold color. The main deposits of bronzite are in Austria, Brazil, Madagascar, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Burma.

Before 1806 bronzite was known as “enstatite” from the Greek “enstates”, meaning “adversary”. Its current name derives from its color. The Romans used bronzite as a talisman for good luck and protection.
