Earth Heart Pendant Multi-Gemstone Set

Three gemstones create a wonderful array of subtle earth-tone colors in this salute to the natural beauty around us. The pendant itself was created by artists to emphasize a variety of colors embedded in this heart shape. Grey Smoky Quartz teardrop beads cluster around the top of the heart pendant and appear as cylinders and small round beads throughout the necklace. The larger and smaller flat oval stones are Yellow Botswana Agate. The smaller brown puffed ovals are petrified wood.

Smoky quartz is found in Mozambique, Switzerland, and other countries. It was used by 12th-century Chinese as we would use sunglasses and was also worn in Britain while one was in mourning. Some believe that smoky quartz can ward off stress and depression while promoting tolerance and that it has strong ties to the earth.

Petrified wood is primeval wood that was turned into stone after it was buried under many layers of organic matter deep within the earth. It is believed to encapsulate ancient plant material – giant sequoias and other primeval trees. It is a window to the past and has been used to recollect ancient memories.
