LADYSLIPPER ORCHID

Using a combination of fine watercolor as well as archival inks, this design was originally to be used on a hand blown glass platter when I was working as a designer for a glass blowing company in Seattle, Washington.
Flowers are a gift from the universe. We can attempt to capture the delicate and fleeting beauty of one intricate blossom and I think perhaps watercolor is the most likely technique to achieve this purpose.
