What resembles a chain, turquoise beads are strung together with small faceted round turquoise beads which are rotated with thick rings of turquoise. A very unique wooden pendant is attached to these beads. The pendant is a carefully crafted wood carving of a lizard clinging to a branch. This is truly a one-of-a-kind necklace.
Turquoise is found in barren and dry regions of the world – the American Southwest, the Middle East, and areas of China. Ancient Egyptians called this stone “mefkat”, which means “joy”.
